    Exhibition of Slovenian Industrial Design in Milan


    Milan, 19th May 2016 - the Slovenia Design Showroom 2016 was opened in Milan – a one-month exhibition of Slovenian industrial design, during which the work of 21 Slovenian designers and companies from the wood, furniture and interior industries will be presented to the Italian public. SPIRIT Slovenia and the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology organised the exhibition in collaboration with their partners, with the aim of helping Slovenian companies to recognize new business opportunities in the foreign markets and increase their recognisability.    Read more

    Ljubljana, 18th May 2016 - Slovenia hosted the first session of the Slovenia-Iran commission for energy. Both states agree that there are numerous opportunities for mutual economic cooperation.     Internationalisation Is the Key To the Slovenian Economy


    According to the European Commission, the Slovenian economy grew by 3.0 and 2.5 percent in 2014 and 2015 respectively. Slovenia also has 83 percent of the EU average GDP per capita, making them, together with the Czechs, one of the most affluent nations in emerging Europe. Emerging Europe spoke to Zdravko Počivalšek, Minister of Economic Development and Technology of the Republic of Slovenia, about the country’s plans for further growth, privatisation and their approach to foreign investors.
