Exhibition of Slovenian Industrial Design in Milan
Milan, 19th May 2016 - the Slovenia Design Showroom 2016 was opened in Milan – a one-month exhibition of Slovenian industrial design, during which the work of 21 Slovenian designers and companies from the wood, furniture and interior industries will be presented to the Italian public. SPIRIT Slovenia and the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology organised the exhibition in collaboration with their partners, with the aim of helping Slovenian companies to recognize new business opportunities in the foreign markets and increase their recognisability. Slovenia perceives Iran as a partner market
Ljubljana, 18th May 2016 - Slovenia hosted the first session of the Slovenia-Iran commission for energy. Both states agree that there are numerous opportunities for mutual economic cooperation. This is why some Slovenian companies have already launched technological projects in Iran, while Iran perceives Slovenia as an entry point for the Balkan and EU markets. Read more

Ljubljana, 6th May 2016 - On 3rd May, Minister of Economy and Trade Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim Al Thani, who also attended the first meeting of Joint Commission on Economic and Technical Cooperation between Slovenia and Qatar, held in Slovenia, was received in Ljubljana by Minister of Economic Development and Technology Zdravko Počivalšek.

Slovenia and Russia Strengthen their Economic Ties

Internationalisation Is the Key To the Slovenian Economy
According to the European Commission, the Slovenian economy grew by 3.0 and 2.5 percent in 2014 and 2015 respectively. Slovenia also has 83 percent of the EU average GDP per capita, making them, together with the Czechs, one of the most affluent nations in emerging Europe.
