Slovenia signs Association Agreement with ESA
Paris, 5th July 2016 - Slovenia signed an Association Agreement with ESA on 5 July 2016. This agreement will allow direct Slovenian participation in ESA optional programmes, therefore Slovenian delegates will attend relevant ESA subordinate bodies. Dedicated access to the Agency facilities and services will be provided to Slovenia national space projects. ESA’s Director General, Johann-Dietrich Woerner and the Slovenian Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Zdravko Počivalšek signed the agreement in an official ceremony at ESA Headquarters in Paris.

Exhibition of Slovenian Industrial Design in Milan
Milan, 19th May 2016 - the Slovenia Design Showroom 2016 was opened in Milan – a one-month exhibition of Slovenian industrial design, during which the work of 21 Slovenian designers and companies from the wood, furniture and interior industries will be presented to the Italian public. SPIRIT Slovenia and the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology organised the exhibition in collaboration with their partners, with the aim of helping Slovenian companies to recognize new business opportunities in the foreign markets and increase their recognisability. Internationalisation Is the Key To the Slovenian Economy
According to the European Commission, the Slovenian economy grew by 3.0 and 2.5 percent in 2014 and 2015 respectively. Slovenia also has 83 percent of the EU average GDP per capita, making them, together with the Czechs, one of the most affluent nations in emerging Europe.
